How can I protect myself while getting a pedicure?

Answer

While we do not recommend getting a pedicure at a public nail facility, there are precautions you can take if you do choose to go.  First, bring your own instruments.  You do not want someone elses bacteria contaminating your feet.   If they use the same nail file on your feet as someone elses, you are at risk for infection.   Also, never, never let them cut or scrape your feet with sharp objects.  Someone places, although illegal some states, still use razors to cut off dead skin on your feet.   This is the easiest way to get yourself a life threatening disease.  Staphylococcus, more commonly known as Staph infection, can be deadly.
