Is it alright to pass down children's shoes to younger children (hand-me-downs)?

Answer

No, you should never pass down children's shoes.  Children have very flexible joints and thin heels so they need to be supported as much as possible.  Also, everybody has their own walking pattern otherwise known as gait, the shoes will be formed to the first child's gait.  The child will be forced to walk as the original owner did and this may lead to problems later in life such as heel pain, bunions, hammertoes, flat feet and more.
